Note: I would give 3 stars if it weren't for the tick. ---One thing to notice about the video I uploaded is the ticking that starts with the timer. That never ends. It's just a metronome that plays until the bell rings. This is an invasive exacerbation. It's just not right. 30 minutes max, heat with what I've done so far shows good distribution. The compartment at the bottom opens with a black tab that slides forward very slightly to reveal the compartment, which then falls down and can be wiped clean. I don't see a way to take it off, but since this toaster appears to weigh less than a few pounds, it's easy to lift and the tray isn't that difficult to clean when it doesn't need cleaning. .Good light to show what is being cooked. There's a lot of good about this, but I've compared it to other toasters, and especially a toaster at the same price point (with a $25 discount coupon) and figured I can't recommend this unit right now because of the ticking and better options. with much more flexibility available.
