Almost great good for me

Almost but not quite great. Plenty bright for most uses, but focus makes an image of the rather large light emitting element so it doesn't make bright dot. But yes, the focus goes from flood to a bright beam. Has taken some fairly hard whacks and kept working. It charges pretty quickly, but I usually charge it overnight and have left it plugged in several days without trouble, in other words I just use it without thinking about it. The biggest nuisance for me is that the side light is on the same side as the switch button, so the light often makes me night blind when I turn it off. That's a big deal since the reason for a flashlight is to see better in the dark. The button and side light should be on opposite sides so you can turn the light off without turning on the side light right in your face. The belt clip works perfectly, rotates so you can turn the light to face into the room while you clip it on your belt to free your hands, and the clip has maintained a firm tension to hold securely onto my belt with constant use. If you use the belt clip often your belt will also eventually rip the rubber cover off the USB charging port, a flaw that would also be solved by putting the side light on the side it should have been on. It makes me think some engineer was to lazy to flip the circuit board over to put the switch and charge port where they belong. Having the light shine in your eyes every time you turn it off is an engineering stupidity that mars an otherwise well engineered product.

Pros
  • I like the the product but I hate doing surveys leave me alone
Cons
  • The flashlight is too complicated to use for simple tasks
