Excellent kitchen set. They're durable with 3 rivets and long, hard handles that stay cool. Made of hard-anodized aluminum, this set heats up quickly and provides even room heating. Tempered glass lid with durable edges. Even the non-stick surface doesn't feel sticky. I've roasted chicken in a pot in the oven for 3 hours a few times and the pot looks new and works great. I love using these pans, so I cook more homemade meals than I used to. Best of all, they stand up to metal utensils (I have to take their word for it because mine are made of wood and silicone) and are dishwasher safe, although I hand wash for convenience. A friend boiled water and forgot. The water boiled and was still warm at a medium level for a good 30 minutes, empty and the pot survived it without damage. To avoid possible damage, I let the pan cool on the stove. This is my 3rd Calphalon set, after a roommate scratched my old set I had for years I bought the cheapest Calphalon set available and another roommate broke it in the dishwasher so I bought them the most durable set and was very happy with this purchase. . They should last for years, so it's worth the investment.
