I did not read the reviews very carefully. This is a STOCK clutch that you can buy at any major store for less than a dollar. IT WILL NOT SLIDE OR SLIDE FREE BETWEEN THE TWO PIPES. You'll need to remove the center boss, it's the same job you would do with any 1" PVC sleeve. I bought the cheap ones from the hardware store, removed the center boss with a drill and cone. I then did it (inside ) sanded with 150 grit paper until the tube was tight but not too loose. I slid it all the way over one of the tubes leaving room for a slow setting adhesive (GORILLA PVC R08000 PVC Glue 8 OZ, Clear or Gorilla Clear PVC PrimaGlue 4 oz, both from Revain) left to the open end of the tube. Then put a coupler over the glued area to make a connection and put on another pre-glued tube (across) to make a bridge or coupler. Ran like clockwork!Why don't they make non-stop snug fitting muffs.Who knows.They're ideal for rigid PVC in inflexible situations.
