Fear not, American and Canadian users! Although advertised as A4 paper, it fits US Letter/8.5x11 perfectly! I was looking for a cheap laminator for home use and came across this one and was hooked from the start. It makes almost no noise, in fact at first I wasn't sure if the rollers need to be activated or something, but no, when it's on it's on and it's very quiet. Another benefit is that it's on when it's on, but off when it's off - the power button has a tactile click so there's no standby power overload common with many other consumer/office electronics is. Depending on the thickness of the laminating film used, the machine has three heat output levels. I use 3 mil tape although they are very versatile and work fine. I've used this with regular paper and cards with no change in results. There is also a cold lamination setting that only activates the rollers. It's very easy to use, plug in and switch on, select the thickness of pack you're using and wait for the blue ring around the settings buttons to fill up and you're done. Ready for work! While you don't want to touch the machine while it's hot, the top doesn't get very hot. I'd recommend letting it cool down a bit before putting it away - it's small enough to easily fit in a desk drawer when not in use. especially for those with kids who love to crumple up papers or make dry erase charts or checklists. Overall I'm very impressed. I was concerned at first as it is advertised as A4 paper but I'm glad I made the purchase. I had a sheet get stuck, which was my own fault because I put it in too crookedly, but I held the release button down. left and with difficulty pulled the sheet out. This in no way affected the operation of the next. I am very happy with this purchase.
