I used these to replace an old camera that I had previously bought on ebay the main reason is the rubber cover came off the old camera and moved away otherwise these cameras deliver excellent images on my existing 2008 satnav however I think there is a design flaw with all these aftermarket cameras which causes the rubber cover to fall off easily As far as I can tell both cameras are identical I have a separate one previously Bought a video converter to be able to view the backup image on my existing navigation display, make sure the rubber cover stays in place, I also have a female I used an adapter and soldered it to the cable I already ran from the back to the navigation display (so next time I can just unplug the old camera and plug in the new one if needed). Installing them properly requires a lot of patience, so don't think it will be an easy task. Even inserting a camera into an existing hole has to be done in the right order to get it in place. My car is a 2008 328 station wagon, so some of the wiring is more complicated than a sedan and requires removing a lot of trim around the rear window.
