Great for potty training! Our blue heeler pup is now 14 weeks old, it took her about a month to completely understand what the bell was for. After putting peanut butter under the bell and teaching her to nose it or paw it and then saying "outside” really helped her grasp that the bell = outside. Eventually I stopped putting peanut butter and just praised her for using it. She caught on fairly quickly considering how young she is. She will occasionally use the bell just to go outside and sniff or bark at things. So you just have to watch them and make sure they don’t abuse the use of it. LOL. Overall, I highly recommend the bell method.
