Fit and finish is very good. The extra large zipper guarantees no snagging and makes it easier to close. Nice and thick 3mm neoprene suitable for warm water or as a base layer in colder water. It adapts well to all openings, the important thing is that cold water does not penetrate. Tapered sides are designed for slightly overweight individuals. If you have a large belly, it can be difficult to get it to the right size as it can be too loose in the upper body. See photos, I'm 152lbs, 5ft 9in and SMALL fits perfectly. I ordered both small and medium and if I hadn't tried on small I probably would have kept medium although small fits better. They should fit snugly to the body with minimal gaps in the holes. The purpose of a wetsuit is to let some water through and then warm up between the body and the suit, which increases the quality of the insulation. But if it's too loose, it won't warm you at all, as the water entering is constantly cold. I would recommend getting the smallest size you can fit in, it should fit snug enough without restricting movement. Haven't tried it in the water yet but it's a great value would recommend UPDATE 18/11: Well I tried it in the ocean snorkeling in Maui The water is warm but not tropical water for swimming . I'm skinny and catch cold easily, so I needed something to keep me warm too quickly. Unfortunately it didn't work as I had hoped. It's just a sleeveless top with too many holes for water to get in. Every time I did a stroke, the water would come in, mostly from the bottom of my back. As a result, cold water was constantly poured over my lower back and spine, and in a short time I became completely cold. If I lay still and just floated, the suit would warm up and feel better. But every time I moved, water got in. And again I ordered the small one which is quite tight on me so it's not a size issue. I think I need to switch to a full short wetsuit so there are fewer holes. For many people this may be more than enough to warm their body sufficiently, but it didn't work for me. I gave it one star but I think the problem is with the style rather than this particular product.
