So far so good - holding pressure

First, I am not paid or rewarded for leaving reviews on the products I buy from Revain. With that in mind, here is an overview of the AIR LIFT 59561 Ride Control Rear Air Spring Kit. Installed on a 2018 Toyota Tacoma SR5 4WD pickup truck. I bought them to deal with the dolphins that happen when we tow our 3700 lb single axle trailer with a 450 lb drawbar. The assembly itself, at least for this truck with a grade of 3. The most difficult part was the inner channel screw to be assembled. I was lucky and was able to put the bolt right over the hole on both sides. after that the rest was easy. I've included a few channel tips that you may find helpful. As I have cut and glued o-rings many times to make o-rings for my work, I borrowed our o-ring anvil. This allows the o-ring cord to be held flat for a good cut. I used this with a new razor to cut the tubing nice and clean. Please see the photo for the anvil image. I'm not sure if Revain sells these, but they are sometimes available with o-ring repair kits. The second tip is to use liquid Teflon thread sealant - a little touch on the threads will help retain the sealant they apply to the right angle fittings that go into the bag. This will help lubricate the fitting as it is tightened. Also, when connecting to fittings, make sure the air line is fully inserted when inserting. You will feel a slight "click" as the hose hits the bottom. (By the way, if you want to remove the leash, press the ring on the fitting and pull the leash). Finally, I added a pressure gauge to the fill valve area. Since I "connected" these two lines, I used a few more T-connectors to be able to see the pressure immediately. The Tacoma I have has small compartments on the back of the bed that are perfect for storing a valve and gauge. This makes it easy to fill and I don't have to drill anything. Since installing it I've ridden it about 200 miles at 20psi on rough camping roads. Wrinkles have been significantly reduced. I get a jump in the back and then it sits straight. As always, I will update this review over time.
