When I bought this product (60 grit) I was looking for a better sandpaper than the cheap sandpaper I had previously bought. I'm working on a BIG job of sanding 100 year old lime plaster (lime plaster, not the plaster crap most people are used to) so I know I'm pushing products to their limits. I'm essentially a grindstone because lime plaster, when it hardens, is essentially limestone. I paid twice as much for this product compared to cheap stuff. For this price I feel like I should get better performance. I *almost* did that, but ended up getting less than he did. The "loop" on the backing fabric (the fluffy felt material that attaches to the grinder's Velcro straps) is so thin it's virtually non-existent. This ultra-cheap coating dissolves within 15 minutes of sanding, leaving small clumps of lint on the sanding pad's "hooks" that need to be scraped off and disposed of. here in all honesty - the abrasive is excellent. But after a few minutes, the disc ejects, and you pick it up, look at it, and realize that the cheap stuff has literally crumbled around the edges and almost peeled off in the middle. THIS product has an excellent felt backing. I tested them one by one and THIS crappy product made me feel like the "cheap" brand was the best deal! Is an abrasive good? Yes, the abrasive is excellent and has a good "cut" (abrasive particles have nice sharp edges). Is this product 2 times cheaper than cheap brands? Absolutely not. After all, if sandpaper can't stay on your sander, what's the use? When you hear "TigerShark," you need to provide your customers with quality fabric that justifies the price of your product. The product I received is like a super trendy hot rod - it doesn't have wheels! Basically, it is useless and cannot fulfill the main function it is designed for. Save money and buy something else. Good sand or not - this product is rubbish. Worse, they charge extra to learn the lesson themselves.
