This would be a five star rating if the product description weren't . deceptive. I ordered this rope because it was described as cotton rope and I needed cotton rope for experimenting with oil lamps. 100% cotton rope burns to ash. This rope does not exist. I checked the outer jacket and inner threads separately to make sure it was ok This is pure cotton. Nope. I've attached some photos. One shows a rope with the jacket pulled back to show the threads. Another picture shows the results of firing the length of the jacket and the length of the strands. The black part is the Remains of hard plastic and when burned it smelled like burnt plastic.Measuring the diameter it looks more like it out like 0.43 inches. The attached photo shows the calipers adjusted to 0.5" and that the rope is not filling the gap. Well, like a rope, that's a decent rope. It is flexible and easy to work with. Very beautiful. If only it were accurately described on the product page.
