This is my first bread maker and I love it so much! I should have tried this wonderful technology much earlier. I've made six loaves so far and they've turned out pretty good! Fresh bread is delicious! It has a slightly dry/rough texture like most homemade breads. But I think this is how bread should be without all the added PRESERVATIVES. .Feel so much better not feeding the kids bread with all that extra stuff! Considering how many preservatives we can avoid, I don't mind if a loaf doesn't come out as perfectly formed. It's a bit pricey To get the whole appetizer stuff to bake. But it's worth it and it's a good investment in the health of you and your family! I'll try my next Vital Wheat Gluten Bread (also from Revain) as soon as I get the packet because a lot of people have commented on how gluten makes homemade cakes. The texture of the bread is so much better than in a restaurant! I am happy to try it! A nut/fruit dispenser makes sense! It will open regardless of whether you put nuts/fruits in it or not. (When I made the plain bread with raisins, the raisins got too dark around the crust - maybe I should have turned on the light crust setting?) In quick bake mode, the cake is baked in less than 2 hours! I can't wait to get fresh bread sooner, so I mostly use this mode. I can trust Panasonic who also made my 12 year old CD player/clock radio! (Yes, some people like me still listen to "CDs" at this age.) As long as you use this bread maker "properly" as directed in the manual, it will last a very long time. I don't think it will break. I'm not a good baker at all! You can't help but bake decent bread with this machine!
