Panasonic Bread Maker

I received this machine today and am baking my first bread. French bread. I had a Panasonic bread maker in the 1990's which I used for a long time. Updating this review after using it for a while, but I noticed that a lot of reviewers were unhappy that this machine doesn't have a whole grain cycle. Have you tried French Bread Cycle for whole grains? French bread is kneaded extra, as is whole grain bread. As soon as I get whole wheat bread I'll try it, this is how I make whole wheat bread in myโ€ฆ

Great Bread Machine

My mother asks me to buy a bread machine for her and she sends it to me. This Panasonic 250 is also sold in China but the ones sold in China are produced locally, compared to those made in Japan and sold in China their quality is not too good as the inner coating layer is aluminum alloys. The one sold in the US has a fluoride diamond coating, although I'm not sure if this material can be harmful to humans as most fluorine compounds are toxic. It is very good against corrosion/stripping. Finally

Not long enough for small household appliances

After 10 months of use, this bread maker stopped working. I turn it on, the panel lights up, I press the button, no response. Disabled, waited, tried again, no response. I pressed the start button, the screen went blank. When I called Panasonic's "Help" line, the record told me they had a high volume of calls and would have to wait 20 minutes AND I could be billed $9.95 per call. Thank you Panasonic. NEVER AGAIN. I've just spent a ton of healthy ingredients and my time with this machine, theโ€ฆ

Cool Bakery!

This is my first bread maker and I love it so much! I should have tried this wonderful technology much earlier. I've made six loaves so far and they've turned out pretty good! Fresh bread is delicious! It has a slightly dry/rough texture like most homemade breads. But I think this is how bread should be without all the added PRESERVATIVES. .Feel so much better not feeding the kids bread with all that extra stuff! Considering how many preservatives we can avoid, I don't mind if a loaf doesn'tโ€ฆ

  • I have my fists
Cons
  • No mold required

I just bought this machine last week and I have tried 4-5 different bread makers. The first bread I tried was heavier than a brick, almost didn't rise, turned out to be inedible and went in the trash. So I went through all the reviews to find some tips. Increasing the amount of yeast (I had brand new ones) by doubling it sounded like a winner so I decided to give it a try. The second bread recipe is from my invaluable book, The Bread Maker Collection, as none of the recipes in that book haveโ€ฆ
