Various jobs on my 1971 AMC Javelin SST have always made me constantly check my flanges for leaks due to blown gaskets. I've used all types of pads, some better than others, and eventually they all burst. These pads have lasted longer than any other pads I have used. They have been installed for a long time and still do not leak. They may be a bit more expensive than others, but you get what you pay for. The best pads I've used in my experience.
