Description of Remflex 6005 Exhaust Collector Gasket for Mopar - Pack of 2: High-Quality Performance Seals

See Part Number 6006 for 2-1/4" Pipe Flange; Mopar Exhaust Collector Gasket 2-1/2" Pipe, 2 Bolt Holes (One slotted) 3-29/32" Bolt Hole Spacing, 2/set. Heating and cooling of the exhaust system causes header and manifold flanges to warp resulting in gaps between the head and header which Remflex exhaust gaskets seal completely due to the thickness and compressibility of the 100 percent flexible graphite. Remflex exhaust gaskets come in a standard 1/8 inch thickness and are designed to crush 50 percent allowing them to fill any pits or gaps in the flange surface up to 1/16 inch. The aluminum cylinder head and steel header or manifold combination are configurations that readily cause gap issues in the mating flanges due to contraction and expansion of the dissimilar materials; Remflex exhaust gaskets fill those gaps permanently. There are no rubber binders or composite materials in Remflex exhaust gaskets so they will not shrink or harden due to time or temperature eliminating the need to go back and continually retighten your flange bolts

Soldering the "fur " flange I had problems with

The greater thickness was a big plus for me. This sealed a particularly tricky connection that wouldn't seal on my BRZ from stock cat to aftermarket.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

So far so good! best in parts

A few months ago I replaced my catalytic converter pre-exhaust. My seals from r-auto have already blown and blown. So I installed them. They are working great so far and I have already ordered more to make other joints.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Almost never

Well sealed for parts

I have used many 2 bolt gaskets on many cars. Subaru STi, Nissan 300zx etc etc. Except MLS Stainless Steel Gaskets $$$$ This is the next best choice. Very well sealed and very thick. Great for the price and highly recommended.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Some problems

You get what you pay for. Top notch toppings.

Various jobs on my 1971 AMC Javelin SST have always made me constantly check my flanges for leaks due to blown gaskets. I've used all types of pads, some better than others, and eventually they all burst. These pads have lasted longer than any other pads I have used. They have been installed for a long time and still do not leak. They may be a bit more expensive than others, but you get what you pay for. The best pads I've used in my experience.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Reliability

Nice choice. when you know your strength

A colleague suggested this product one day when I needed a gasket that could fit two mismatched pipe sizes on my car. So, a set of Remflex grip seals made it to my door. First off, this is one of the BEST gaskets I've used on ALL the exhaust couplers. Although many gaskets are metal, they are not thick, so in some cases you will find that they do not seal properly. Now, with that padding, it's pretty thick; hence it tends to "squeeze" into a perfect fit. Also, the open end of this particular…

Pros
  • nice item
Cons
  • quality
