But we decided to switch to this one to allow for bigger burgers, or at least change the size to what we wanted. Both are easy. For those who are struggling, you really should use wax paper squares. Makes things much cleaner and easier. Use the bottom square, place the meat on top, place another square on top and press down. We've found that if you take beef and quickly wrap your hands around it to form a ball of meat, burgers come out more evenly. Don't fuss, just put your hands together, form a ball and place it on top of the wax paper square. You really SHOULD use squares at the top and bottom. Our new ones in action today. The burgers were put on 1/3, they came out evenly and perfect. If you want to wash the press you will have to unscrew the top to get to all the parts except. You simply loosen the screw and then screw it back in. There was one review that someone thought was tedious. Folks, you unscrew them and then screw them back on. No rocket science. However, this should only be done if you don't use wax paper squares for the most part. The meat shouldn't get into the lid unless you use wax paper on it. It's.just.clean, no hassle, and this new one allows us to resize where we haven't had another.
