I really wanted it to work.

Unfortunately it only breaks eggs, almost always the yolk. Maybe the Costco eggs I use have shells too thin for this machine, the first few eggs I tried the plunger just went into the egg. I modified the piston by fitting a 1 1/4 inch diameter soft plastic shock absorber onto the piston designed for use under a glass plate (see photo). still broke the egg. Maybe there's a trick, a twist of the wrist, to make it work.
