I am disappointed after my last pair of strippers which were just a cheap unbranded pair. Ergonomically they are terrible. With tools like pliers, scissors, and wire strippers where you need some precision, you generally want the object you're working on to be closer to the hand holding the tool until you achieve proper placement. Since wire strippers have cutouts for different sized wires, the only way to get your hand closer to the tool is to bring your hand closer to the pivot point. However, there are pinch notches on the handle side of the hinge. So if you choke on the tool there is a risk of pinching yourself, which I have done on a number of occasions. to open it again. This requires some finger gymnastics, and if you accidentally pinch yourself from choking on the instrument, opening your hand won't immediately release the pressure. It also makes it difficult to cut the wire jacket without stripping it completely. They're also big, I suppose, to give you more leverage when crimping connectors, which I think is a small feature, but the sideways side makes them unwieldy when stripping wires.
