So I have TRENDnet 150 WAP. The initial connection was fine, but it took a long time to figure out how to set up a repeater to improve my existing WiFi. The "master" does not configure this part of WAP. You should read the detailed user guide to understand how to set it up. I spent about 3 hours until I finally got it working. But it works. I'm using it to boost a local Netgear router that I don't really have physical access to, but is configured with no security. After I figured out how to set up WAP, everything was fine. Back then, I even connected the D-Link 655 to the TRENDnet WAP's Ethernet port and set a fixed IP address on the access point. Now my D-Link really works via WAP. I don't know the practical purpose for this, but it was cool.
