Access point successful

I had very poor signal strength in addition to my bedroom (from my telco provided DSL b/g wireless modem/router) due to the distance and walls in between, but I had forethought around to lay an Ethernet cable during the construction phase. Setting up this access point with a switch to connect to the rest of the network worked with a little help from tech support. This application required manual configuration. Maybe I could figure it out by following the instructions, but I tried the automatic…

Not for the faint of heart.

So I have TRENDnet 150 WAP. The initial connection was fine, but it took a long time to figure out how to set up a repeater to improve my existing WiFi. The "master" does not configure this part of WAP. You should read the detailed user guide to understand how to set it up. I spent about 3 hours until I finally got it working. But it works. I connected this AP to my router switch and connected directly to the web interface and 192.168.10.100 with my laptop (using the static address 192.168.10.5) and set it up in minutes. The device is beautiful, small and very light. Although it doesn't have mounting holes on the bottom, it's so light that I…

Works well but badly. Documentation

I bought the TEW-650AP to use as a client access point with a network receiver (Onkyo TX-8050). It's really easy to set up, but the confusing language in the manual makes it tricky if you're unfamiliar with the internet. However, once it was set up, I connected it to the Onkyo and started streaming music from my NAS and listening to internet radio. I have it in a wooden closet with the door closed and have had no problems streaming MP3, FLAC, WAV or internet stations over the Wireless G…
