Edit new review: The helmet fell apart shortly after this review. The inner foam is separate from the shell. Its looks and cheapness can be standard for helmets. I'm no expert but I've lost confidence in using this helmet on my daughter. Old review: This helmet looks and feels good. I was able to adapt it with thicker inner padding for my daughter's helmet. She doesn't mind wearing it. The inner foam is about 3/4" thick. Nice adjustment knob on the inside of the back to tighten it. The only thing that bothered me was some misspellings on the inside warning label ("put on chin strap", "helmet replace"). The helmet's outer pink plastic exoskeleton looks different. Painted on the inside. The foam cutout also dangles a bit like a bad cutout when in place. But apart from my attention to these small details, the helmet is sturdy and feels solid I will continue to use it for my little princess.
