Excellent product. I bought this helmet for cave diving. Bought a small, easily removed the foam insert by cutting the epoxy securing the foam on each side inside the helmet. Before ordering I measured my daughter's head and at first this helmet seemed to fit me. (She is 5 years old.) But she will always ride upside down. I kept adjusting the straps but they always loosened. A few weeks after we received it, I set the straps in the morning and sent them on their way. She fell the same day. The helmet was gone and blood was running down her face. We had to take her to the ER in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic (we're in New York). She received 10 stitches.

Helmet fits according to size chart. My 2 year old son's head was in the middle of the small helmet and this is exactly where it is set on the helmet we received. The adjustment knob works well and is similar to the adjustment found on most helmets. The helmet contained a thin and a thick set of removable (Velcro) inner pads and a chin strap cover. The helmet has room to grow. We haven't had a real test of its durability yet, but it looks sturdy enough for a toddler on a balance bike.

My child under the age of 2 likes to ride his bicycle trailer. Riders on the streets these days have made me decide on a helmet for him even though none of them fit yet. Edit new review: The helmet fell apart shortly after this review. The inner foam is separate from the shell. Its looks and cheapness can be standard for helmets. I'm no expert but I've lost confidence in using this helmet on my daughter. Old review: This helmet looks and feels good. I was able to adapt it with thicker inner padding for my daughter's helmet.
