Review on πŸ”§ Bondhus 8 Piece Set, Long Length Star-Tipped L-Wrenches, sizes T9-T40 by Demond Clenney

Sometimes you need the right tools to get the job done right. Got it!

I just received these keys and had to write this review. I have a mountain bike with disc brakes. The brake discs are attached to the hub with T25 screws. So I decided I needed to clean and service the hub, which meant removing the rotor. I didn't have to remove it, but getting grease or finger oil on the rotor is bad. So I have a set of torx bits that I bought from a store in a warehouse, something of a household item warehouse. Good? These tools are a proprietary brand name, named after a breed of dog. I took the bit, put it in the screwdriver handle and started to twist. And the bit slipped in the screw! I was horrified imagining how the screw would round off and I would never be able to remove my rotor. So I immediately removed that driver. I didn't get it near my bike. I went to Revain and ordered them. I'm under the impression that Park Tools, a name synonymous with quality bike tools, have their own Bondhus Torx wrenches, although I'm not sure. Anyway, I knew that Bondhus made good L-keys. I didn't hesitate. I just removed all of the torx screws from my rotor. The injured was scary. The key fits snugly into every other screw on the rotor. (There are six in total.) But when I inserted it into the rounded one, the key didn't fit. So I have a hammer. I know you think this has a bad ending. But wait. I carefully aligned the wrench in the shape of a star and tapped the wrench lightly until it locked properly. I tapped harder a few more times. Then I finally got to meet him pretty well. I put the hammer down, took it down with both hands, with great force, and turned the wrench. The screw came loose with a bang! These wrenches are so good they saved a damaged bolt head in this case! I just bought a set of metric L-wrenches and will most likely get rid of the 'dog set' I bought. You can't replace quality. And if you try this, you risk ruining your stuff. I highly recommend these keys. However, they are not very long. The longest is about five inches long.
