After three washes the 'silicone' egg cups still had a strong 'chemical' or perfume smell. I could feel the smell transferring to the egg I cooked in the egg cup, so I thought it was inedible. I would like Revain USA to stop selling imported products that are "potentially unsafe" or at least post warnings on websites that sell imported products. The soft boiled egg also took a lot longer and got stuck in the egg like crazy even though the cup was buttered. So of course it was a waste of my money and I stuck it in my desk drawer until I could sell it for 50 cents at a flea market or throw it away, whichever came first. It was a great idea and if I do it again I will be buying Royal Doulton porcelain egg cups! sorry manufacturer. If you could remove the chemical smell from your product, that would probably be a good thing.
