The Most Convenient Way to Switch Surface Pro from Laptop to Desktop

I've had a Surface Pro 6 for over a year, and while I like the portability of the 2-inch 1, I sometimes miss it the convenience of the large screen and full-size keyboard/mouse. I tried setting up my old desktop monitor with an HDMI to DisplayPort adapter, but then I didn't have enough USB ports for the keyboard and mouse (because Surface only has one). Long story short, I found this dock to be much better set up as I only need two connections to switch between desktop and laptop: the dock and the power cord. After a few weeks of use, I'm quite happy with this setup. This allows for very quick switching, and so far I haven't had any trouble seeing the monitor or devices. It has enough connections for HDMI (monitor), USB and SD cards. The dock is secure so it stays in place very well even if I leave the Surface monitor. The downside is that it's a bit difficult to remove (I always do it slowly and carefully for fear of damaging ports). In terms of functionality, the image on my external monitor is crisp and I use the setup as a "dual monitor". " (while holding the Surface on the side monitor to my left). Since this dock is on the left side of the screen, it's probably best if you can set up the Surface to be on the right side of the main monitor Cables are not visible in between All in all it's a big improvement for my productivity and I now use my Surface more like a desktop than a laptop without sacrificing the ability to quickly switch to laptop/tablet mode switch.
