Review on REV X Mega Syphon Priming Siphon by Virgilio Patton

Skip this one - poorly made, broke on first use.

First impressions were pretty bad. Came tightly wrapped as others have mentioned but I managed to smooth it out with hot water. On examination it can be seen that the plastic pipe was apparently heated to its melting point very quickly and the copper fitting was pressed in with no other mechanical means to hold it to the pipe. I was concerned about the durability of the connection and didn't want to lose the copper fitting in the fuel tank, so I planned to fit a worm drive clamp to keep it connected. However, I never went that far. When I first used this thing the control ball in the copper fitting fell out and was lost in the fuel tank of a 1968 Hyster forklift I was working on. This rendered the siphon completely useless until I realized what had happened and sucked some fuel through the hose to get it flowing. I have yet to find the trackball, but I doubt I'll ever get it as this car's fuel tank is made of sheet steel and welded to the frame (not removable). Actually, I wanted to keep my money here in the US, but the thing is so poorly made that the phrase "Made in the USA" seems like a joke. When Chinese siphons that cost half the price work 10 times better than this thing, that's really sad. Luckily Amazon Prime refunded my money otherwise I would have lost $25 on a piece of plastic tubing. Stay away from it.
