Description of REV X Mega Syphon Priming Siphon

Mega Syphon Plus flow rate can transfer up to 8 gallons per minute, unlike other siphons that are only 6 gallons. Simply jiggle Mega Syphon Plus high impact copper end, up and down, in any liquid to start siphoning. Eliminates sucking on the end of a hose, to create a vacuum, to get liquids moving. Eliminates the possibility of inhaling gasoline, diesel fuel, e85, alcohol or any other dangerous fluids. Completely Redesigned from the ground up to increase flow rate and remove obstructions. Packaging has changed to remove the tight coil that was causing kinks.

Very unique but useful product

Really unique and amazing product. The hose is strong, thick and well built. The inside diameter is about an inch and lets a lot of fuel through. I use it to fuel my boat and it works great! However, starting the siphon takes some getting used to. Sometimes you have to pull it up and twist it hard to quickly start the siphon and get the air out of it. The mechanism is very simple, just a brass fitting with a ball inside to increase the one-way check valve. I wish it was a little longer, 15ft…

Custom piece of crap

I bought this to pump gasoline from 5 gallon cans to my lawn mower. Since I've gotten older and gas cans have gotten heavy for me to put in my lawn mower. Anyway, I put the gas cans on the back door of my pickup truck and followed the instructions. You need to shake the faucet to create a siphon. The bulge in the brass fitting constantly gets stuck in the fitting. After trying to get this hose to work, I ended up cutting off the fitting and using the hose as a siphon. On a positive note, the…

I would not vacuum. Tried and tried.

I was really hoping this would work. For several weeks I've been trying to empty the baby pool I have for my ducks, hoping to save time as they drink and swim in it daily, but no matter how I wiggled the siphon, it didn't work. I did the up and down movements like in the video I saw on her YouTube channel, back and forth and in circles. I first tried filling the tube with water by blocking its outlet when the outlet was on the floor and the water I was putting in couldn't even drain properly…

Just doesn't work

I bought this a few months ago as a 'just in case' tool. I had a 5 gallon can of gas that was out of date so I figured it would be a good idea to try. I lifted the canister off my ladder rack using my seat belt. I barely inserted the hose into the gas tank, the hose is so wide but it fit. I moved the brass end of the hose up and down in the gas, but no gas flowed through the hose. I've tried shaking fast and moving slowly to no avail. The bullet lodged in the brass end and locked it. I tapped…

Here's a way to get the spool out.

Damn! When the big earthquake hit I didn't want to get stuck trying to figure out how to pull the spool out of this hose. So I decided to heat some water and warm it up a bit. The hardest part: Finding something wide enough to even help. wok! Note: Do not heat the wok, I think you will find the hose sticking to the metal. Instead, add very hot water and then add a hose. Once you've heated the hose you can probably wrap a piece of string around each end and hang it on something with a small…

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Skip this one - poorly made, broke on first use.

First impressions were pretty bad. Came tightly wrapped as others have mentioned but I managed to smooth it out with hot water. On examination it can be seen that the plastic pipe was apparently heated to its melting point very quickly and the copper fitting was pressed in with no other mechanical means to hold it to the pipe. I was concerned about the durability of the connection and didn't want to lose the copper fitting in the fuel tank, so I planned to fit a worm drive clamp to keep it…
