Review on TERAPUMP 4th Gen - Fuel Transfer Pump | No More Lifting Gas Cans | Fits Multiple Gas Cans (Advanced Auto-Stop Sensor & Flexible Inlet/Outlet Hose) by Brian Elliott

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Quick priming pump for refueling electrical appliances, ATVs etc.

This product works basically as advertised and even better than I expected. I'm glad I bought it and will use it when needed! We basically have a couple of 5 gallon gas bottles but I think the pump unit would fit in a smaller container if it's not too small but if it's bigger than a standard 5 gallon container I think that she may not necessarily be getting all of the fuel in a much larger tank. I've been looking for an easier way to fill up my mower, quad bikes, log splitter, generator set, many power tools and appliances. We will concede that balancing a 5 gallon gas cylinder on my knee and frequently spilling gas during many of these fill-ups because of that balance fill would not be required. Matching my photos, it came in a red and white box. as shown in the picture. The kit includes three adapters for portable gas cylinders of various sizes and types to replace the tank's lid with one that allows the pump to be attached to the tank. I needed a medium sized adapter for my plastic fuel tank, but will keep any adapters for other tanks that I can get my hands on over time. The pump itself is a one piece unit with one end installed in a 5 gallon gas tank and the battery/pump attached to the adapter with a collar on the pump body that tightens onto a tank mounted black adapter. It takes four AA batteries, but the instructions say it can only "run" on two batteries, but I installed four as shown. As in the photos, there are clearly marked buttons, green for on and red for off. Partial at the top of the funnel is a wire that should automatically stop fuel delivery when the liquid reaches that point. On my first test run with my Craftsman Self-Propelled Mower, this feature did not work. That's why I gave 4 instead of 5 stars. Now that I know I don't trust the stop function, the only way I ever stop the fuel flow is with the off button. The buttons are easy to press and the transmission is actually very fast and quiet. end of the hose and allow the gas to flow back into the tank. The fuel line did not drain completely and there was a small amount of gas at the bottom of the plastic hose no matter what I tried. I'm sure because it's made of corrugated plastic and has plenty of room for fuel to stay in the hose. Ready. The instruction warning states that this pump is mounted on a tank. If the container falls, fuel will spill. So be careful when installing a tank with this pump. Now that I have it, I would recommend it to anyone looking at it for the same reasons I do. A quick and easy way to refuel many, but not all, gas engines. This transfer pump will NOT work with small fuel tanks such as herbivores or chainsaws. The fuel flow is too high and you will get fuel everywhere if you try!
