Review on ๐Ÿฅฆ Hamilton Beach Digital Food Steamer: Quick, Healthy Cooking with Two-Tier Bowls and Rice Basket by Anthony Jagers

Reliable steamer for 3 years

I have been using this steamer for at least 3 years and I use it often, at least once a week, on average more than 3. The lower part of the steamer . The hotplate doesn't get moldy like one reviewer thought, it gets hard water/mineralization. Just like every steamer I've ever had when boiling water to zero. The plastic is light, not flimsy, but not too strong either. This is a steamer, how powerful does it need to be to fill it with veggies? ok guys The rice container is more than enough for two and even 4-6 people as a side dish. No, it's not big, but how much rice do you eat in one meal? The only complaint I've seen that might be valid is that the electronic pad isn't sealed and the vapor can short out. I had no problems with this but the plastic overlay over the buttons was peeling off the buttons but it works like a dream. I cook veggies, rice and eggs in it, sometimes some salmon, and if you have the time it's a great little steamer. My only complaint is that the removable bottom comes out too easily and if you don't adjust it to something flat you'll end up with peas all over the place. Not sure why the edges stick out, it just takes up more space than you need if you only have a small handle or something. In any case, I was very satisfied with this steamer and see no reason why it should not continue to work. I had another that died after a year and a half with light use, just wouldn't heat up or turn back on. Hopefully this little Hamilton Beach steamer will keep up with my HB toaster which is over 12 years old and still works great.
