Do not buy this steamer!

We initially liked how light the steamer was and it worked well until the last two uses. a puddle of water, can't explain how it happened but I feel like we would have been electrocuted if we hadn't turned it off. Unless you have purchased additional protection, the warranty states that when they ship, they will be repaired or replaced at your expense. He went to the landfill and my rice cooker evaporated. I do not recommend. Bought on 12/26/17 died on 04/09/2018

A good upgrade to the old model

After 15 years my old steamer is over. It's a nice upgrade with some smart features like a removable bottom in the trays so you can steam really tall items (like corn on the cob standing upright). The old one still worked fine, but the trays have cracked over time (dishwasher safe. They'd probably last forever if hand washed) and the stainless steel body of this one suits our kitchen better. We mainly use it to steam rice. quite expensive Zojirushi rice cooker (costs 3 times as much as this…

The easiest and best way is

Setting up and cleaning is very easy. Place the seasoned meat in the lower basket and the vegetables in the upper basket. You fill the base with water, set the timer, and then leave before dinner is ready in about 20-30 minutes. I've tried salmon, chicken, halibut, and tilapia and they all turned out great. The steam ensures that the nutrients left in the meat remain juicy and tender. I no longer roast or bake meat and have also lost weight thanks to this healthier way of cooking. If anyone is…

Reliable steamer for 3 years

I have been using this steamer for at least 3 years and I use it often, at least once a week, on average more than 3. The lower part of the steamer . The hotplate doesn't get moldy like one reviewer thought, it gets hard water/mineralization. Just like every steamer I've ever had when boiling water to zero. The plastic is light, not flimsy, but not too strong either. This is a steamer, how powerful does it need to be to fill it with veggies? ok guys The rice container is more than enough for…

Big enough to cook tamales upright

First, let me explain that I use the steamer several times a week. I regularly steam vegetables and rice and always use them for hard boiled eggs. I also occasionally use it for chicken, fish, and my grandkids' favorite food, hot dogs. So as you can imagine I was very disappointed when my old steamer finally gave up the ghost. It had been going strong for almost a decade, and now my challenge was to find something else that worked just as well. I did a lot of research before finally deciding on
