Review on πŸ’Ύ Yottamaster TB3 NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD Enclosure, Intel Certified Thunderbolt 3 (40Gbps) with Innovative Heatsink Design by Phil Casey

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works well, instructions not very clear

Overall - does what it's supposed to. Disk access seems fast, works on Windows and Mac OS. The included magnetic-tipped screwdriver is a bonus. The included Thunderbolt 3 (passive) cable is around 18-19 inches long, which is also a bonus. The statement is useless. The included instructions say "Open the back cover" and then the next step - "Insert M.2 NVMe SSD" - it skips everything "You need to unscrew those four other screws and take the board out, install the drive and take the screw, needed for their fasteners, from another pack also included in the kit. I think the instructions that I received could it be for an earlier model? It also refers to a 'knob' instead of a screw and doesn't say anything about the included thermal pad or keyring attachment. However, if you can remove the 4 extra screws (circled in red in one of the attached images) with the included magnetized screwdriver, attach the included thermal pad to the top of your M.2 drive (obviously where it is located). goes) and reassembling it (also obvious), it should be pretty easy to set up (it took less than 5 minutes). And once set up and connected, it gets the job done and gets it done quickly. You can also feel the heat dissipating on the fins! Attach the included thermal pad to the top of your M.2 drive (it's very obvious where it goes) and put it back together (also obvious).
