I had some sheet rock in my home get wet. I needed this to see how far the water traveled to see if it had to be removed. When set to the home mode, it rapidly gave me an indication of the moisture content allowing me to determine how much wall board I had to remove.Likewise, being an avid woodworker, this can also be used for measuring the moisture content of that various woods that I work with. This device was a win-win for me. It worked for my immediate need and future needs with my woodworking/wood turning.I would definitely purchase this unit again if needed.
