Headband too small Best in Safety & Security

I've worn a lot of headlamps. One of the advantages of a headlamp design that places the battery compartment on the back is that you don't have to pull the strap tight enough to hold the headlamp on your head. The central strap does all the work for you, reducing pressure around the temples that can occur when wearing a headlamp for long periods of time. This is the second lamp of this design that I have ordered from Revain in the past few weeks. The first had a strap that was too small, even when set to the maximum, so I sent it back. I thought they accidentally sent me a child size. When this device from another manufacturer arrived with the same problem, I found that they didn't understand their customers' head sizes. So I cut the strap and put another 3 inches in it which makes it much better. If the manufacturer had left out the front and back straps when designing this headlamp and then added an extra strap, it could have easily been adjusted to my head. Instead, the strap ran through the front but ended at the back, making it difficult to adjust and keep everything centered. The lamp itself is very bright and seems to last a long time. With some modifications to fit a normal adult male's head, this could actually be a very good lamp.
