Nothing compares to the original filter that comes with the Aqueon Minibow. This replacement bag has a completely cheap outer material (bag) that peels off and goes into the water. The fabric of the bag and the activated charcoal in the bag are so thin that the water just flows through without being fully filtered. The first replacement filter I put in only lasted a week and suddenly became clogged for no reason - no water. goes more. It's not about my aquarium at all, because apart from two water plants there were no fish at all - I just circulated the water! (I guess this is a sales ploy, the fabric material of the bag swells when enough water gets through and that clogs the filter instead of capturing the actual sediment from the water.) I threw away the first one and replaced it with the second and second will be just as cheap and bad as the first one --- the water will go straight through and not evenly filtered at all. --- My second filter was clogged within 4 days for no apparent reason. And now my third water filter is overflowing after 3 days. I really don't get it. I just put the fish in an empty current tank.
