I bought this after getting a smaller bottle from my stylist for almost the same price. I started using this shampoo because my hair thins with age and I was hoping for an inexpensive/chemical solution. I think the shampoo helps keep my scalp clean and helps my hair grow faster. This product I ordered from Revain seems to lather more and has a creamier texture than the shampoo I got from my stylist - hopefully that doesn't mean it's "fake". You've heard stories of people putting cheap shampoo in expensive bottles and selling it as real. I can't say for sure either way. It smells and feels the same on the scalp, only foamier.
