Quality basic protection
I have tried cotton and oil filters and my mechanic has recommended not to use them if the mass air flow sensor is after the filter like mine. This is because an overly lubricated filter can affect the flow meter. So I went back to the tried and tested paper filter. There are many studies showing that they are just as good as expensive filters, but it depends on the application.
