Review on Brother Scanner DS 720D Scanning Lightweight by Avery Sharma

I was wondering whether to buy this scanner or the SVP 2-in-1 scanner. Now that I have the opportunity to use the DS720D I am very happy with my decision. The main thing I like about it is that in the software you have control over how pages are crawled. When you scan a document, you have the option to capture the pages as an image file or PDF. If you choose to create a one-page PDF, the software will scan the first page and then give you 30 seconds to insert the next one. After that you can just insert a new page and it will scan each paper into its own file; This is very convenient for simple scanning. The multi-page version works the same, only each scan is added to the same document. The duplex mode is also very convenient as it saves you from sending the same page twice. Pros: + Duplex scanning + Black and white, greyscale and color options + Settings from 100 to 600 dpi + Fairly fast scanning (depending on your settings) + Brother scanning software is easy and allows for some automation + Wide range of supported paper sizes in contrast to some other scanners. This is to be expected and you get used to it right away, but it's still a shame when this happens - it requires scanning software (doesn't support offline scanning to SD card). This is one of the reasons I bought this scanner, but it would be a nice feature. The included bonus software is not available online, only on CD (Brother scanning software can be downloaded). Needs some work to properly scan longer documents (you need to set it to "Maximum" paper size)
