Testing just got easier!

We were in the process of replacing our high pressure metal halide or sodium floodlights with LED lamps. To do this, all we had to do was remove or bypass the transformers or ballistae in the existing fixtures and then screw in the E39 LED bulb. Before ordering all of the replacement LED bulbs, we had to do a rebuild where we wanted to see how bright the LED bulbs would be in certain locations. So we ordered 1 LED bulb in 3 different sizes/wattages which we thought would give us the light we were looking for. Since we didn't have a construction spotlight with an E39 base, we ordered this converter so that we could simply take the lamp with the average base out onto the street, connect it to an extension cable and see how brightly each LED bulb shines. It was easy and cheap, and we could see the light output of each LED bulb in the real place. After figuring out what LED wattage would be best for us, we ordered E39 LED bulbs for the corn rows, removed the transformer in each parking light, and screwed in the LED bulb. For us, the 80w LED bulb replaced the 400w metal halide bulb in our outdoor spotlights, saving us 320w per bulb from now on and we didn't have to replace our existing outdoor lights, saving even more money. Now our parking lot is lit the way we need it and we save a lot of money.
