Review on 🔧 Enhance Steering Performance with Edelmann 8763 Pitman Shaft Seal Kit by Leonard Herrera

Fitted well to my original steering box for my 97 k1500 5.7 and saved me a ton of money on crappy remanufactured or new steering boxes as they were discontinued by Chevy and Acdelco. So far so good, time will tell how the seals behave. The bipod lever was quite stuck in the gearbox and the puller couldn't reach it, so I used an angle grinder to carve a "dump" in the lever and tapped that spot with a chisel to break the bipod lever and then the puller. I removed the armrest with no problems. To seat the gasket I used 1 1/4" diameter PVC pipe so I could push it in evenly. I bought a new Acdelco Pitman for $35 and stopped there.
