It worked well. Installation was excruciating

Had to replace seals on steering box 02 due to leakage. Removing the bipod was a nightmare and it took some work to remove the old seals, but there was no leakage in the end.

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Only available in black

Excellent. fits Pitman mine

I had a pretty bad leak from the power steering gear on the steering column arm where I had to top up with new fluid every week. After replacing gaskets etc with this kit. This completely eliminated the leak. Very satisfied. A+

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Compatibility

can't beat the price to rebuild the Pittman seal.

Unbeatable price for the Pittman seal restoration on my 1998 Chevrolet Silverado 1/2 Ton. Left the box on my truck and changed the bottom seal. It's been over a week and not a drop.

Pros
  • GOLS Certified

So far so good, time will tell how the seals behave. The bipod lever was quite stuck in the gearbox and the puller couldn't reach it, so I used an angle grinder to carve a "dump" in the lever and tapped that spot with a chisel to break the bipod lever and then the puller. I removed the armrest with no problems. To…

It seems to work very well

Thanks again for the good part I finally got around to installing this Edelmann Pinman shaft seal. I'm so glad there is no more power steering leak. Be very careful as there are many ways to install this kit incorrectly, some Dodges@Jeeps use the same kit, you-tube it many times before doing the install on a scale of 1 to 10, it's about a 5- 7 for me, I say 6, but I didn't have the right snap ring pliers, so I used picks. I used the original snap ring and washer which are easier to install. on…
