I have an old aluminum 7 cup filter coffee pot that makes excellent coffee and I was hoping to repeat this experience in a safer and bigger version when I'm out . Unfortunately this is not a replacement. There are no markings for water cups, so water must be measured first. It is worth noting that hot water also drips too quickly, making the coffee weaker. A possible solution would be more smaller holes. I'm going to double some filters to slow down the flow and hopefully get a better result, but I'm disappointed - and it makes the coffee more like tea.
