If the pen broke, you may have misused it. This is a great tool. But there were no instructions. A few important things to know: 1. Remove the silver screw before using the part pin removal tool. The silver screw is only used for tightening links when crafting. I am making Christmas ornaments and used a silver screw to tighten the dots so they hold their shape. .2. Do not remove the pen completely. If the pen falls out, it's almost impossible to put it back in. I couldn't find a manual or guide on any other site. If you find them, please post them. I still don't know why the instrument has a hexagram notch or what the wire is used for.
