The carving was fine. I tried again and thought it was Loctite. The more I rotated it, the harder it was to rotate. If the pen broke, you may have misused it. This is a great tool. But there were no instructions. A few important things to know: 1. Remove the silver screw before using the part pin removal tool. The silver screw is only used for tightening links when crafting. I am making Christmas ornaments and used a silver screw to tighten the dots so they hold their shape. .2.
