Be careful before installing this pitman arm or tensioner arm on your truck. Please read this

I bought this Pitman K6654HD and K6535HD guide arm and K6723 mount for my 2005 Silverado 2500HD. The quality of the components is excellent BUT the Pitman and Idler Arm ball joints are too tight. As a result, the steering stuck and the truck could wobble on the road without constant steering adjustments. Needless to say it was uncomfortable. drive down the freeway. It would also prevent the steering wheel from returning to center after a turn. I figured I had frame damage or an adhesion problem, so I took it to a truck frame shop where they tested it, took the Pitman and Idler apart and told me both were bad because the ball joint wouldn't turn. Told me they see this often and check the rotation of every ball joint on every new component that comes in and send it back until they find one that spins easily. The ball joint is twisted with a cotter pin, and if it doesn't turn, it's sent back. I ordered it and the AC Delco brand tested it that way when it arrived. I used an allen wrench that went in the cotter pin hole and could turn the Delco AC but not the Moog ball joints. I installed AC Delco and the wander problem is gone. Now it drives effortlessly down the road like it should. I hope this simple test will save you money and prevent escalation.
