I don't know how he did it!

I've always been wary of collars on cats. A few years ago I caught my kitten when his jaw got stuck in his collar. If I hadn't been there, he would have been seriously injured. No more collars. My second cat is also without a collar. Unfortunately, time passed and took them both. I just got a kitten from ASPCA. They promised me that the collar they gave me was removable and it was. However, my 5 month old kitten is growing very fast and is BIG so I had to buy him another collar before he choked. I bought this one hoping it would come loose easily in a bad situation. I came home today from a day off and SOMEWHERE managed to get the ring holding his tag to snag on one of the pins on the top of the grill. He pulled away and happily rolled across the bathroom floor to welcome me home. If it hadn't come off I don't know where I would have ended up, the unfortunate stuck kitten or the dead, hanged kitten.
