Most importantly, it works and the coffee tastes great. I've only had it a day so can't confirm its longevity, but everything seems to be working as it should. Secondly, and very importantly, it doesn't beep at the end of the brewing cycle. Almost everything I have squeaks. My fridge if I leave the door open too long. My oven, my microwave, my watch, my phone, my washer, my dryer, my car. Even my old Cuisinart coffee maker that this machine replaced was beeping. This coffee maker doesn't squeak when I'm around. I'm so happy that I can pee. The only drawback is the bright backlight of the display. Too bright. There doesn't seem to be a way to dim it, so I called customer service, was tossed around, told to check their website for answers, then hung up. I like the product but the customer service is lacking. I ended up emailing them and they replied that there was no way to black it out.
