I used this lengthened T-55 to replace the rear wheel bearing on my CX-7. The clearance around these screw heads is terrible. I hope you can see from the picture that this T-55 has to slip under the metal lip to be in the right position to release the ABS escapement wheel. Yes, the 2mm smaller diameter of my 3" extension compared to the diameter of the T-55 head made a difference. In fact, I used my grinding wheel to trim the T-55 2mm to fit under the metal edge fits.. once the bolts were loose (I could easily turn them back and forth 1/2 turn by loosening and tightening 1/2 turn) I switched to a T-50 with a short extension with a 3 /8" drive to remove the bolts. Again, the gap is terrible and this prevented using a long T-55 and a 1/2" drive to fully unscrew the bolt. Slide the wheel bearing from the back of the assembly) and a 1-1/4 impact socket for the stem nut.
