Review on ๐Ÿ” 3D Solutech Filament - Enhancing Dimensional Accuracy for Additive Manufacturing by Eddie Duncan

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Looks good but: Additive manufacturing products

I mainly have this PLA bought because of the colors. I normally use a hatch box and find this brand significantly less picky than Solutech as I have also used Solutech White. Issues I've had with both Solutech colors that I've never had with the Hatchbox are the filament snapping during printing before it hits the extruder and corner chipping on the prints. I was able to minimize chipping somewhat by increasing the bed temperature ten degrees above normal, but the Solutech filament seems to be much more brittle and prone to breakage ahead of the extruder. It's gotten to the point where I only use Solutech for small prints with very short print times so I don't waste a lot of time if it breaks. The color and the final look of the print are very good.

Pros
  • Solutech pla 3D filament is the choice of engineers, designers and anyone involved in 3D printing who want the best
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
