Rated 5/2020: I stand by the rating below and still love these devices. But there is an Achilles heel: Waiting for data to transfer from any device to your iPhone app is SLOW. The worst is when you have to change the batteries and reconnect it to WiFi. Usually the only way to do this is to connect your phone to the device via Bluetooth and then go to the "Settings" for the device. The problem is that the app IMMEDIATELY downloads the entire history of the device before allowing the user to reconnect to the wifi. This download of data may take up to 10 minutes while holding the device silently. Govee should fix this behavior. That got really annoying. Who in life has time to mess with this lag? This item has exceeded all of my expectations. I need a WiFi aspect for remote monitoring and am concerned about the range of the WiFi connection: I need to monitor a separate garage that we use for storage. The nearest WAP house is not near the garage. I simply installed the device right next to the WAP according to the instructions to make sure it was plugged in properly and then took it to the garage. Works perfectly. The application is simple, intuitive and informative. I haven't tested notifications yet. My only comment is nits: whoever wrote the manual obviously doesn't speak English. But the guide is pretty clear for what you need. It is great; I expect to buy more and eventually replace most of the old wireless (radio) thermo/hygro transmitters I have.
