It's 1/4 the price of buying a high-capacity SSD, the OS on a small SSD, and files and media on the secondary Hard drive drive is the best thing you can do to speed up your computer even if it is an older model. I did this and increased the read/write speed by 400x! Win 10 took about 3 minutes to boot, now it's about 2 seconds.
